What is a Cryptid?
A Cryptid is a creature that is found in stories and that some people believe exists or say they have seen, but that has never been proven to exist.
Bigfoot:
Also commonly referred to as Sasquatch, is a large and hairy human-like mythical creature alleged by some to inhabit forests in North America, particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
Thunderbird:
A humongous, bird-like animal. Similar animals appear in Native American mythology; some tales tell of enormous eagles strong enough to carry whales back to their nests.
Giant Freshwater Crustaceans:
Giant crustaceans inhabiting the area in and around Wallowa Lake that appear heavily in the tales of early settlers of Oregon.
Devils Lake Monster:
The Devil's Lake Monster or M'de Wakan in the Sioux language meaning "Mystery" or "Bad Spirit" is an unknown aquatic creature that is said to reside in the depths of Devil's Lake located north of Lincoln City, Oregon. Many have claimed this creature resembles a giant squid or octopus.
